Oh, this cartoon is so wrong. Republicans are doing everything they can to improve the country and the lives of its citizens.
    -
The country needs more jobs, improvements to its health care system, its education system, and simplification of the income tax code. And spending priorities need to be specified so that budget cuts cause the least amount of pain.
    -
Yes, Republicans are working night and day trying to resolve all these and other important issues. Yes, sir.

I REALLY don’t think the Republicans should be bandying the term “War Criminal” about so freely, since they have the two biggest ones of the 21st Century in their history!

    @masterskrain

AGAIN with the he did it too excuse.

Bush was in office for eight years. All his “war crimes” had the approval of the other two branches of government.

I’m sure there are no statutes of limitations on war crimes. Get your buddies to bring charges today you seem to think you have enough evidence to succeed so go for it.

While you deny that Benghazi, the IRS deal, AP phone records grab are scandals, the pattern of corruption and lies is slapping you in the face. The American people deserve better.

You’re so prefect why don’t you run for office?

I’d love to run for office – on a new “99%” ticket. Unfortunately, I have a few “warts” in my past that would otherwise disqualify me for politics (misdemeanors, no felonies).
I would ask for a complete slate of average Americans who are not beholden to the moneyed elite to run for Congress alongside me. Infrastructure would be brought into the 21st century. Our reliance on foreign oil would be eliminated by 2050. The decision whether to outlaw marijuana would be returned to the states, where it belongs. For those states which decide to legalize it, there would also be a federal tax on it. Reforms would be brought about to curb the effectiveness of lobbyists. Term limits would be placed on Congress. Gerrymandering would be outlawed by Constitutional amendment ("Decennial redistricting of Congressional districts shall result in districts which shall be as compact and contiguous as possible).

Whereever you live, PLEASE go to the office of the elections supervisor and find out what it would take to run for your first office. Start small and work hard.

We need honest, ethical public servants. Do you qualify?

Did I say BUSH anywhere in my message?
Nope. YOU are the one that called him out as the “War Criminal”!
Did I deny that there are scandals in the current administration??
    Nope!
I never said any such thing.
Methinks you doth protest too much!
And, by the way, my name is NOT Ford, so I’m not “Prefect”!

I think the point of this cartoon has more to do with congress having devolved into a constant political campaign rather than a legislative body.

Try reading who posted the comment you are reading. If you do you will see that braindead is anything but. He (I think) is normally very astute, accurate and honest. But today’s comment was sarcasm. So your first sentence was unduly harsh and you should retract it out of respect. Don’t believe me about BD’s level of integrity and honor? Read Genome’s response to BD, I’m not the only one to identify the sarcasm.

“The sniveling liars at the GOP keep trying to outdo themselves with despicable descriptions for Obama and Clinton.”
Agreed. Rarely have I read here the Democrats who do lower themselves to that level (myself included) took it to the vile, bitterness of the republicans.

“Their pathetic hatred for blacks and women won’t play well with voters in 2016,”
I appreciate your optimism but I don’t share it. If they had duped just under 5 million more people they would have proved you wrong in 2012. I just have no confidence in the intelligence or integrity of the voting populace.

“Hillary will crush whatever stale white male loser they throw into the ring.”
I still have doubts she will run. Too old, too female, not “hot” enough for the fickle and superficial voting public. No real good reason not to win, but then again with elections being popularity contests, it’s no wonder.
