Once again it pays to be in the 1% when you want your needs met at the expense of others. Being in that group means never having to be inconvenienced by congressional mandate.

It won’t happen until a constitutional amendment is passed which says, “Every decennial redistricting for Congressional representation shall result in districts as compact and contiguous as possible.” Pennsylvania has just such a law for its state representatives’ districts and senatorial districts.

All I can say is God Bless the lying, incompetent, hypocritical, biased, pathetic members of congress that are totally incapable of understanding the reality of the problems in the country. May the Lord grant them in the next life what they have earned in this one.

The Harvard study that was used to push austerity was flawed.
A graduate student went back and found mistakes.

“….and all sign up for Obamacare.”

Do you seriously believe that anybody in Congress will opt out of arguably the best health care plan in the country for something as flawed as the PPACA?

“… under Bohner in the house keep filibustering…”

Boehner et al cannot filibuster. There are no rules in the House for filibustering.

And that position should be accepted based on your personal research and knowledge, even though you (chauvanistically?) mis-gendered your reference to the artist ?

You sure got that backwards. The “exemption” from Obamacare means that Congress is the only group in the country that isn’t allowed to buy group insurance for its employees. The staffers and congressmen are all going to have to pay out of pocket for health insurance (fortunately, they can use the exchanges, so it’s much better than current law). They screwed their employees to try to make a political point, and they’re now realizing what a mistake it was.

Oh, please. Wilkinson has been perfectly supportive of vets and army personnel in past cartoons, just as in this one. Why don’t you save your posts for when you’ve got something worthwhile to say or point out?

Actually, it’s an across-the-board cut. Not a reduction in the increase. The reason you “still do not get it” is that you don’t get your information from reliable sources.

I guess I am. Because Obamacare will be a huge blessing for most Americans. You think the health care system works now? 40,000 dead a year because they don’t get the care they need? The worst yet most expensive health outcomes in the civilized world? Please.

Yikes. Everyone’s riled up today. I’m with all of you who want to strip Congressional benefits, including healthcare, and give them a small lump sum to buy healthcare, pensions, etc., on the free market. They wouldn’t have time left to do anything else.
