The gal in Texas doing in prosecutors and a wife did pretty good as well, but short-term on “national interest”. Then there’s those gang members counting their “tear” tattoos.

So death toll is how we define terrorism now? Sure 99% of terrorism is commuted by Muslims, but the libs always jump through hoops to excuse Islam. 0% of terrorism is commuted by the Tea Party, yet immediate speculation always points to them. What must the liberal world of denial and blind eyes and deaf ears be like to those who choose to live that way? I can’t even begin to imagine.

She also left out Fort Hood- 13 dead, killer was Muslim. Wouldn’t serve her agenda.

The problem is extremism, and it is available in both conservative and liberal clothing. For instance there are those on this comment site that will always condemn our current president, just as there are those that will always praise him. Does it not seem at least reasonable and logical that the actual truth lies somewhere in between?

Really? 99% of the terrorist attacks in our countries history have been by white Christians. But then the actions of the Klan and their ilk don’t count for you, do they?

Pay some attention. Our first reaction to a situation like Boston is to always think terrorism. In reality, it is ALL terrorism. But terrorism in our current mindset is always associated with the “other”. It must be a Muslim, but only a brown skinned/Asian/Middle Eastern looking one. If there were no security cameras, we would still be looking for the wrong person. This does not mean I absolve the aforementioned ones. Nor do I want 100% security camera coverage. Just saying, with Signe, that we need to adjust our perceptions.

Your statistics are wrong. It’s not 99%, it’s at least 100% of terrorists are Muslims (if the perpetrator isn’t a Muslim, it’s not terrorism).

There was an interesting listing of every mass killing in the US over the past 20 years (more than five killed or injured). The vast majority of them, whether shootings or bombings are white Christians. Take it for what it’s worth.

I don’t know why the Boston shooter is such a hero to you on the right. He’s a criminal. Don’t elevate him to “enemy combatant” purely because of religion. The last thing you want is to pretend we’re at war with him, then you can’t charge him with killing people. Killing people is recognized as being part of a soldier’s job. These guys weren’t soldiers.

The ‘BOMBER’ had a political/religious motive. The ’SHOOTER’s were all mentally ill. Mankind has ALWAYS had a murderous streak. Be it a sling-shot, or a nuke!
Can’t we all get along ? Short answer, NO !

If you want to treat guns like automobiles, then why would you object to getting a license to operate a gun as well as registering and inspecting the gun once a year and insuring it?

don’;t forget timothy mcveigh in oklahoma city. nice waspy cracker terrorist killed a lot of people expecting to start a revolution. not a muslim in sight, not that i am crazy about a religion that has a scripture that says, ‘find the unbeliever wherever they are and kill them’. they should not be surprised people hate them in return

Your own private definition of “Christian”?!
“Christian” has pretty much had a settled definition for at least 1600 years. Look up “Nicene Creed”.

Definitions and passages from Scripture mean nothing if one is not willing to embrace the founder’s message. “Christians” perpetrated the Inquisition, the Reformation, the “Christianizing” of Africa and the American Indians. “Christians” wiped out the Aztecs. All this AFTER the Nicene Creed was developed and agreed upon.
