Maybe Danae from Non Sequitur has a chance after all.

Yeah, those catholic women ought to convert to Islam where they’ll be treated really good.

Don’t worry, the next Pope will be a doddering old Cardinal who is going to continue the exact same ancient Dogma.

The Vatican is just a club for certain old men, anyway. Scourge, anyone?

Note that the newspaper says it’s 2023. Not that I expect a big change in 10 years, but the current college are all near retirement age, so at least it will some new, doddering old Cardinals voting.

Maybe they shouldn’t convert to anything at all and realise their full potential without resorting to any religion and, more importantly, once “rational” or “irrational” men have dropped their asinine complexes against women.

Even the Medicis and Borgias chose from among the clergy. Granted, they turned their own candidates into priests and then promoted them to cardinals, but this cartoon makes no sense at all.

Continual slobbering is worth 10 extra points!

Pope Sister Mary will be rapping the knuckles of the bad priests.

It’ll take awhile for them. Gotta star ordaining women as priests first. But there’s a pretty big movement for it, so maybe some day (though hardly in the next ten years).

If thr first female Pope is anything like my 2nd grade teacher, there will be a LOT of rapped knuckles!

And BTW: God is coming soon, and boy is she pissed!

For the first time since 1914, when Pope Benedict XV was elected, Philadelphia will not have a vote in the College of Cardinals. From 1918-2011, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia was led by a cardinal.
Today, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is led by an archbishop, Charles Chaput. He is the first archbishop to lead the archdiocese since 1918.

There never has been a good pope-a-dope, every pope-a-dope has been the most corrupt man of his time. Best thing that could happen is for no more pope-a-dopes to bring their heresies against mankind.
