Actually, given that most skilled hackers here in the US are not liberals and cannot stand them, you will find that your ignorance is showing. The main problem is that the US government is too cheap to hire skilled and competant hackers. Instead they try to lock them up “for their own good.”

“given”? How so? Know many hackers then, hmm?

Lets keep it simple:
Create a website, that has one of the nastiest trojan’s ever created hidden in the data, leak this site is full of secrets and let nature take its course. Simple, if China’s IT crashes because of it they cannot blame us because we can say the site was marked TS Crypto

Zoid, you sure live in a bubble. The vast majority of hackers are liberals. As with scientists and economists and people who have learned things.

@
..there are white hats & there are black hats. If ever they’re political, I’d guess libertarian anarchists. I haven’t looked into it, but Anonymous would probably fit that bill.
@ Rock Nah, what kicked me off with the catz this morning was Nick Anderson’s ’toon today. ;-)

What you’re describing is called a Honeypot trap.
And things would have to be a leeeeeettle more sophisticated to trap folks like Unit 61398 from that building in Shanghai.
I think your comment, no offence meant, shows how little most people know or understand about internet security.
