The management of “Twinkies” was just terrible. They should have hired more workers, given everybody a big raise and borrowed the money from China. Losses don’t count, ignore them. It worked for Obama.

They gave everyone who didn’t actually do any labor huge raises.
The CEO’s pay was more than TRIPLED from $750,000 to $2,550,000 per year.
Nine other executives had raises which almost DOUBLED their paychecks!
What did the 18,500 average Americans who did the actual labor at Hostess get? A pay cut and a raid of their pension plan!

Yeah, Weirdharold, she’s right on stuck on ignorant. (not stupid! There IS a difference)

The workers were getting paid a fair wage when their union bosses got greedy for an increase in THEIR perks through worker donations. The workers and the company supplying the jobs be darned.

Now there are thousands losing their jobs right at Christmas.

Good job unions! Go the heck away, you’ve outlived your usefulness!

    And you know this, how?

Nope, not quite. The unions showed a lot of flexibility, taking major cuts to pay and benefits. The management and venture capitalists, meanwhile, failed to adapt to changing times but paid themselves massive salaries and increased them just as they were asking for pay cuts from labor. And here’s an actual reference with data:

To all who think that only the unions get screwed. Why don’t the union reps buy Hostess and keep making their products.
Communism only works as long as there is someone else to rob.

Just a hunch but I’d guess it is the result of his ability to read. (Something other than News corp crap.)

Thankfully I do not eat Hostess products. Now who is going to buy the equipment ect?

Never fear! The name may change, but the product will continue so long as there are people foolish enuff to eat it.

As always upper mismanagement got too greedy, paid themselves a huge bonus a few months back and now are crying poor. Now the greedy liars are trying to blame the union workers when the real fault lies in high sugar prices. Just more lies from the 1% moocher class. Just watch some vulture capitalist swoop in and buy up the remains then go out and hire cheap stupid labor, from the red welfare states of course, and be back in business making the same old garbage for a higher price.

Your point wasn’t completely idiotic until you equated private labor working for private bosses as “communism.”
    .
Why do you let hysterical hyperbole define your argument?

How can the U.S.A. be in such dire straights when all these conservative posters know who/what caused the problems, what will fix it, and who the victims really are?
Oh, that’s right,- this is a comic site…

Was Bain Capital involved in this? Smells like one of the Romney deals.
