Liar! Romney was just as compassionate as Obama over this Tragedy Both suspended campaign stops, both have pulled negative ads
This is part of the President’s job, to console the survivors of the victims of such tragic events.

Both the assault rifle he used and the 100 drum magazine would have remained either illegal or much harder to obtain.
We have no red flag for weapons and ammunition purchases. We need a country wide well funded with policing powers psychological organization two follow suspicious purchases and actions of people.

I believe both candidates actually attempted to do the “right thing”. Emphasis on the heroes who saved lives in this incident, is even MORE the right thing to do. Keep “he should not be named” deprived of all or any publicity.

No, the right thing would be to call to reinstate the assault weapons ban, and ban large ammo clips. Last time we had those bans, our freedom did okay, and fewer of us were killed. But… fat chance of that. Obama hasn’t shown leadership on that topic, and Romney hasn’t shown leadership on anything since Romneycare.

Subtlety is lost on you, I guess. The whole point in the ’toon is to say that there is no difference between how Obama & Romney are reacting.
Some of my more naive liberal brethren thought Obama would toughen up gun control laws. His record has been to talk it up for receptive crowds, but never do anything substantive. Even now, the gun lobby has nothing to fear from Obama.

“both have pulled negative ads” Um, actually the Romney campaign did not say that they would not resume after Monday:

Because republicans never try to score political points off of a tragedy, right?

Making guns illegal would be about as effective as making drugs and prostitution illegal.

There has been no increase in GUN REATED VIOLENCE since the moronic “Assault Weapons Ban” expired. There was no decrease in GUN RELATED VIOLENCE when it was in effect. It did absolutely nothing but harass gun owners.
There are more guns in the hands of Americans than ever before in USA history, yet GNU RELATED VIOLENCE is doewn, murder numbers and murder rates are down. Crime across the board is down to decades old lows.
