Where there are handguns, there *is* crime.

Edward, ridiculous statement. statistics show that states that follow the Constitution and promote gun ownership and allow people to carry have lower gun crime.

Cite those statistics, biggstrip. The ones I see indicate that the majority of handgun deaths in this country are from legal owners. By the way, “follow the Constitution” is NOT what this ruling does, at least if you read Alito’s absurd statement that the Founders intended the Second Amendment for Americans to defend themselves against the state.

    motivemagnus,

That is EXACTLY why the 2nd amendment is ther, and why its the 2nd. To protect free speech and lawful assembly from being taken away by the government.

The primary target of the 2nd amendment is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. When congress cretters get out of line, and ignore their constituents wishes, they can be removed.

The framers of the Constitution had just got done doing that very thing.

The difference between a citizen and a subject is the citizen’s right and responsibility to protect himself against aggressive governmental interferance with the rights spelled out in the Constitution.

    • So what you’re saying is the correct way of phrasing that is “where there’s is crime, there *is* guns?

Problem with most libs is that they look in the mirror and tell themselves they could not be trusted with a gun. So they go back to their default of man child bad, big mother government good, therefore big mother government must take dangerous guns away from bad man child before he hurts himself or someone else.

The core of this argument is about fear. How to deal with things we are afraid of. When it comes down to it, I find myself saying that I am not afraid of guns, but that I am afraid of what men and women have done and will do. I don’t own guns, but see the need for some to buy them for protection. I would be one who would support proper training in the use of guns for defense. If people choose to arm themselves for protection I want them trained properly.

USSC Chief Justice Roberts also upholds all laws against crimes committed, including the ones where guns are used. Harm to others can be done with stones, with metal rods as the “peace flotilla Turks” used on IDF soldiers armed with PAINT-GUNS….and knives and poison, etc. etc.

And any sane citizen who can read the crime statistics must of necessity try to own some kind of defensive weapon!

US Law must continue to promote the investigation, arrest, trial and judgment of those who use anything to do crimes.

A gun is an inanimate weapon…..it is evil humans who are making our world unsafe for those trying to live in obedience to good laws.

yak…IMO, most gun-owners believe in education and training in the use of guns. Certainly the NRA supports and provides safety training….and the NRA is just the aggregate of individuals who exercise 2nd Amendment rights.
