wilkinson, nice job! call it like it is.
I heard his Democratic opponent received about $400K in donations after his “spontaneous” and demeaning insult that he sort of apologized for after having his leadership ask him to

Earlier today the number was $50,000. Apocryphal?

Excellent point, well made.
Let’s start with eliminating the “for profit” aspect and moving all of congress to a plan similar to what the average insured American has.

“A DCCC aide told Salon that Wilson’s Democratic opponent, Rob Miller, had raised more than $400,000 since the speech, with more than 11,000 individual contributors chipping in.” September 10 Salon.com

The 11,000 people who “spontaneously” donated were going to vote for the opposition anyway.
If he uses this opportunity right, he can use his outburst to win the next election by a landslide.

Hell, he won’t lose his healthcare, once you’re in congress healthcare is free forever.

FEHB is NOT FREE!! Premiums are comparable to other group policies, but also NOT cheap!

It’s not until these clowns lose their seat in Congress and something happens to them or a member of their family that they realize what the rest of us are going through.
That’s when they go to K-Street and become a LOBBYISTS.
I’ve lost count of members of Congress who have made the “transition” - but I know its too bleeep many!!

Or his Insurance Company bribes.

Last I heard it was $500,000 to his opponent.
FEHBP is a group of private insurances but regulated by the Feds. You can’t get dumped for pre-existing conditions or a new problem. You can change company during the open season without penalty (nice if your circumstances change) and you pay whatever their premiums are for what you choose.

^ ditto. CNN reported earlier this evening that Miller said he had received $1 million in donations from about 25,000 donors.

I say tell congress because of clerical errors ect, that their health insurance will be void for the next year.

Miller will get in–just like Schumer got into the Senate when D’Amato told the truth.

He’s not really embarassed, of course.
Political discourse is not supported by that behavior any more than bringing firearms to community rallies, what he (in support of the right wing agenda) won’t admit is that disruption of the process is the goal.
GOP tactics don’t support discussion of the issues, that would only expose them as the frauds many of them are.

Disruption is the goal, maintaining the status quo money grubbers is to be held onto til the last blue dog dies.
