Remember the glop you had to spread on the Polaroids to preserve them ?

These days every gadget does everything. I was just playing You Tube songs on the TV through the Wii game player.

From his “Why Is There Air?” album, here is Bill Cosby’s take on polaroids.
It begins at the 12 minute 25 second mark, and ends at the 16 minute 14 second mark. for a total of 3 minutes 49 seconds.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyJPM2jIwjQ
The whole album is worth listening to though. It is Blll Cosby at his best.

And what all this technology has done , if we are to get the same product, is make picture developers out of each of us. Just as word processors have made secretaries out of each of us.

You should see today’s “One Big Happy” strip.
Your avatar would be perfect for it.

It’s strips like this that make me glad that I don’t own any of those gadgets.

I totally thought the same way. But my smart phone has paid off at least once a month, worth the money. One month it was a quick back road onto the highway when the ramps that were open were suddenly blocked by construction. Another month, it was a lost daughter on a university campus, found her in minutes instead of hours. The camera quality is great.

I so love my DSLR camera, no more plastic throwaway cameras and having to pay to get the film developed and getting a CD.

My sister’s house caught fire and burned down. One of the things that was recovered was a box full of old pictures but they had extreme water damage due to the firefighters. My younger brother took them home to see if he could save any of them. He did an awesome job on all of them but the easiest to save were the Polaroids. He believes they are indestructible.

After opening up our business, I finally got a cell phone. The second day I had it, the deal I made(that could only have been done with a cell phone), paid enough money to cover the cost for 2 cell phones for almost 3 years.
