   I went to a viewing in ‘09 (a woman who lived in my building).
   It was a creepy experience!
   Don’t let anyone tell you the deceased look “asleep”; believe me, they DON"T!!!!
   I’m very glad that Jewish people don’t hold wakes.

    I’m a nudist. Nudists aren’t ashamed of their bodies. Textile people are, for some unknown reason.

    Interestingly, the reason for a wake dates back to older times when medicine wasn’t exactly up to modern standards. People could be pronounced dead … and wake up in a coffin!
    The purpose of the wake was to keep an eye on the dead person to be certain they were really dead!
