Too bad we couldn’t just fire all the politicans in the country, from top to bottom and start anew with some hopefully real american citizens that take pride and care about their country, right now it’s all about the greenback dollar, our politicans could care less about us, it’s all about them, dem and rep are all in it just for the money, not for us common working people,

What we need is a slate of “99%” candidates in 2014 and 2016, made up of ordinary Americans who are not beholden to special interests or to either of the two major political parties.
They must pledge to enact major reforms in Congress if they gain the majority.

Ash, that is a wonderful idea. But you know they would never be elected. I can think of at least two reasons why. The first is that they simply would not have enough money to buy the votes needed. The second is they would probably tell the bare, naked truth about what is going on and what needs to be done and you know that is death to any politician.

Term is limited when the voters decide?

The ultimate “term limit” is in the future. That is $16.2 million million in debt and $120 million million in unfunded obligations like SS, Medicare, etc. That is a total of $136 trillion in money already “spent”; over $400,000 per citizen. Bankrupt? Yes.

We should elect someone who believes that, but then they’d just turn into a politician….
