I started riding Harley-Davidsons back in the day when it was still a bit non-conformist to do so (when Honda advertised that its riders were the “nicest people”), so I take a certain amusement in the way the current crop ride around on identical “custom” bikes loaded with identical Willie G™®©(all rights reserved) accessories. Many even dress and groom identically, right down to the (also trademarked, I’m sure) alien skull decorations on their identical leather jackets, and identical shaved-head-goatee fashion.

Nothing changes. It was the same with long hair when I was in High School. All The non-conformist guys did it. I was the only one with a crew cut. So who was the real non-conformist???
