She a religious cook – plenty of burnt offerings !

No, Smokey didn’t teach Roz to cook. He got his name from being around Roz while she’s cooking.
    .
And for all we know she may be “cooked” while she’s cooking too. (It explains years of bad cooking, doesn’t it?)

When the smoke alarm goes off, it means dinner is ready…

I told my Mom once that just because I was a “carbon based” life form, that didn’t mean I wanted to EAT the stuff.

Went to bed hungry that night.

Smokey The Bear is like saying Mickey The Mouse. Only Pete would say that.

A variation on your theme that I’ve heard; Done to a golden black.

As one who watched the first “Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires” ads in the ‘50s, I submit that it is “Smokey THE Bear”!! The commercial sang: "Smokey the Bear, Smokey the Bear..prowlin’ and a’growlin’ and a’sniffin’ the air; He can smell a fire before it starts to flame… that’s why they call him Smokey, that is how he got his name."
