“Destiny” sounds more like a she

I haven’t been to a “gentlemen’s club” yet that didn’t have a Destiny working there. [“Geltlemen’s club.” Ho, ho, ho, as Santa would say. (He often sat beside me.)]

I agree. Destiny does sound like a she to me. The late, great Harry Kalas (Baseball Hall of Fame voice of the Phillies – not to mention NFL Films) did tend to womanize for a few years in the 1980s, and it later caused him to leave his wife and remarry.

One summer, he was seeing a woman named Faith. After a long, horrible season, as the Phillies used to regularly have, Harry said, “You’ve got to have faith.”

His best friend Richie Ashburn (whom I honor with my screen name) replied, “You’ve had Faith all year!” They had to go to commercial because Harry started to crack up laughing!

Dogsniffmas: I haven’t been to a “gentlemen’s club” in about 12 years. It’s hard to believe she’s still there. But I didn’t see many gentlemen either.

And when Santa said “Ho, ho, ho!” he was pointing to Destiny, Dusty and Dawn…

I had a date with Destiny but it turned out to be a prune.

Destiny…a very interesting concept of slavery. Does this mean she’s free?
