One of you posters said yesterday that Prof. Cosmo’s DeSoto spends more time in the shop than on the road (or something like that).

That was me. There must be some truth to that statement, since I rarely - if ever see the De Soto when it’s not in the shop

I used to have a mechanic who did digital tune-ups. He used the digits on his left hand and the digits on his right hand (for all I know he used the digits on his feet too). When he was finished, the car still didn’t run any better. Perhaps, the problem with Cosmo’s De Soto is that the same mechanic is doing digital tune-ups on it too.

Diagnostic? Is that two agnostics?

I thought it was one agnostic cut in half, FishStix, but I googled it and you’re correct - two agnostics. Good call.

You know this mechanic is a scam artist. That old Desoto is pre-digital, so there is nothing electronic about that car that could be diagnosed digitally, but the first clue should have been when he offered to upload tunes to an AM, tube radio.

I thought that car was WAY past menopause!

Some doctor told the same thing to my cousin, and she got married: she had a beautiful baby… two years later…

Tell that owner his DeSoto has been screwed!
By one of them little foreign jobs, how rude!
Could have been a horny little Honda
Something driven by Jane Fonda
Henry’s Daughter with the bad attitude!
There is a reason why they call her Hanoi Jane
A traitor to our country it was plain
She went to visit the Hanoi Hilton
And all the prisoners she was a’jilton
When she let them get beat and driven insane
