    Actually, “Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” was called out by some old lady in the advertisement for that thing you wear around your neck and when you push the button on it, it calls for help. The old lady in the advertisement didn’t have the thing around her neck so she couldn’t get help. On the other hand she could clap her hands, while laying there, and the lights would go on and off. There was another neat commercial with an old lady looking at a small burger in a big bun and saying, “Where’s the beef?” I’ve noticed that the burgers are still small,but now the buns are too.

    jrbj - A correction on that… The old lady in the original commercial for “Life Alert” had fallen and she DID have the Life Alert system around her neck. She had activated it and was calling for help.

    Tragic that I can remember really lame commercials from 25 years ago but have trouble remembering my children’s names, when I’m supposed to be at important meeting or why I’ve been standing in the garage for the last 10 minutes (it’s because I can’t remember what I went in there for).

    Wicky - Fallen as in Fallen Angel (demon)?

    Yukoner - George Bush didn’t fall, he was crucified by the media which is owned and operated by ultra-left wackos. I LIKED 8 years of tax cuts, tax rebates and dead terrorists. He kept the battle off of our shores in stark contrast to everyone’s prediction after 911 that we would be attacked again within the year. For 8 years we fought against the wicked radical Muslim terrorists that are bent on destroying the US and Israel. The bad guys eventually won, however, because we elected one of them President of the United States.

    treBsdrawkcaB- Those 8 years of tax cuts plus Bush’s war of choice in Iraq led to the HUGE deficit president Obama was left. PLUS the war in Iraq has been the best recruitment tool for bin Laden and Co. FYI almost all of the terrorists on 9/11 were Arabs!!!!!! And let’s not forget that Bush ignored the report in the Daily Briefing Report stating that bin Laden was determined to strike the US as well as the report from the FEMALE FBI agent about persons on the watch list taking flying lessons. THANK GOD we now have a president who has brains and common sense!!!!!!

    Cosmo misrepresents history - the Roman Republic fell long before the imperialist Roman Empire.

    The United States stands at the same point of its republic falling and turning into an imperialist empire, if we don’t learn from the history of the Romans. (Of course, many would say that it has already happened, and I’m not sure that I would disagree.)

    Some of the most homophobic men who are outspoken are actually in denial of their own homosexual orientation.

    That might be cholldekkgher stenst’s problem.

    Very few openly gay men are limp-wristed and only a small minority of them are even effeminate.

    Many of the actors who play heterosexual macho type he-men in the movies and on TV shows are openly gay in real life, too.
