    While E. Manet was a most excellent artist, it is my opinion - as an artist - that his remark concerning black, is naught but an effete impudent colourist blathering.

    Indeed without the colours of black and white, where would we be?

    A dictionary definition of colour, can be found to read thusly…

    “one, or any mixture, of the constituents into which light can be separated in a spectrum or rainbow, sometimes including (loosely) black and white.”

    I know that I am right in my sentiments, because Mrs. Tubbsbottl agrees with me.
