There is a political lesson here: no matter how poorly a system works, DO NOT attempt to fix it. There will be problems with any attempt to reform a broken system, but those problems will always be perceived as being worse by people who don’t like change.

As far as health care goes in general, at least a vocal minority are making a point: throw as much money at being able to kill people across the globe as necessary. We don’t have the money or the desire to keep our own people healthy.

The definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing and expect a different result. And we like to prove that we are an insane society.

Yeah, go back to no insurance and either use the ER for your general practitioner or just do everyone a favor and die. Is that the one you want to “go back to”?

I’d make a joke about the donkey shooting itself in the “foot” but that would be mean!

I’ve had insurance all my life. What’s your problem?
