The socialist Obamanation, ruin of the US. Now he is trying to unilaterally change Obamanationcare again, which is another illegal act. He wants to make it a crime for employers to consider his hideous Obamanationcare in setting policies at their companies. Like everyone is not going to do it anyway and just not admit it out loud.

President Obama is not socialist – those that say he is do not understand the meaning of the word.
And for that matter, while Hollande ran on a socialist theme, he has pushed austerity since he has been in office.

@CCNJ's say the sky is falling

Obama thinks he is president for life. Which is essentially the same as a dictator.

And how many New Deal programs were ended in total and complete failure? All of them. How did LBJ’s War On Poverty work out? Poverty increased instead of decreased. Can’t blame conservatives for those failures. Even back then Congress was full of socialists. That is how those unconstitutional programs were passed into law.

Apparently you are either clueless about what socialism is or are unable to comprehend what you read. One more possibility is you believe everything your socialist teachers taught you. Wester:
The country isn’t fully socialized yet. But Obama and the socialists in Congress are trying to get it there as fast as possible. The heads of GE, GM, Walmart, and BNSF are already sleeping with Obama. Ever hear of crony capitalists?

    @Genome Project

Well it depends on one’s definition of Socialism.
    m-w says:
Socialism: a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies
Communism: a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) and there is no privately owned property
Sound identical don’t they, well for the most part they are .
However, most people, as stated before, confuse or call ‘Welfarism’, Socialism instead. I guess it comes from the the fact that Welfare States, such as those in Europe are often called “Socialist States” I guess in deference or maybe a slight distinction from true Communist States.
And if you understood Fascism then you would understand that based on the lay definition of Socialism, then yes, He can be, (and is) a Fascist Socialist.
Fascism: the government exerts strong directive influence, and effectively controls production and allocation of resources. In general, apart from the nationalizations of some industries, fascist economies were based on private property and private initiative, but these were contingent upon service to the state.

Fascism is a combination of Capitalism and Communism or 3rd way economics.

I’d love to disagree with you, as you seem good at arguing your points.

First: Europeans rarely call themselves “Socialist”. They would use the word “Socialdemocratic”. Calling European states socialistic is something Americans do, not Europeans.

Second, I agree that Obama is a Fascist, but not that he is a Socialist. The subtle distinction to my naive mind is whether anybody ‘owns’ the means of production and thus keeps the profits from them. Corporate Fascism allows a few select to own these means, provided that they serve the purpose of government (or vice versa, which seems to more often be the case).

I would argue that if you were to tax Walmart 80% of their income, it would be a socialist system, as the wealth generated would belong to the state, whereas since they are allowed to keep basically all of it, it is fascist.

yeah, hm, you should ask the scandinavian countries the same question. And you know what they say? We’re happy to pay our taxes for our egalitarian society.

Communistic and Fascistic governments both control all property. The Communists are just more honest about it by owning everything in name, whereas the Fascists allow you to own your property, while the government completely controls it. Both are socialistic governments. Time was when the political spectrum ran from anarchism to totalitarianism. Both Communism and Fascism are at the right end of that spectrum.
