On that day I was standing in front of my TV, ready to toast the historic first black president with a glass of champagne (like I did with the first female chancellor of Germany, although she’s on the right of me), when the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States (!) managed to mangled the sacred Oath of Office!!! I went down on my knees and wept. I knew back then that this president would have a very, very hard time. Regrettably I wasn’t wrong…
