While the continuation of just one more “W” era program, run by the same people he either appointed, or who were “in charge” wasn’t “brilliant”, I also wonder who could die if some confidential, or “secret” documents were made available to blabbermouths willing to kill agents. Issa has proven himself to be “party before nation” repeatedly, and should NOT be given ANY access to documents that might compromise security.

Congress has all the documents about “Fast and Furious”. What they’re after now are documents about how the administration tried to spin the story. Not really very important.

INteresting Fux news interpretation, if they say anything, they’re wrong, if they protect proprietary or classified information, they’re wrong. If they don’t get bin Laden they’re wrong, when they DO get bin Laden, they’re wrong. When the crashing economy from “W” at least turns around, they’re wrong. When they pull out of Iraq, and make plans to pull out of Afghanistan, they’re wrong. Even when they continue a BUSH operation, they’re wrong (in the eyes of the BUSH FOLKS!)

@dtroutma The Bush and the Obama program was the same except for the Name, the Objective, the time line, the hardware, the tracking, the supervision, the control of the sellers, the whistle blower, the coordination with Mexico, the termination……Yep, like two pees in a pod.

They were pretty much the same program. And each came up with no results. But blaming Obama for that is like blaming Romney when a Bain Capital company goes under. It was a bad idea, the people at ATF kept it secret, and it was badly botched. The big difference between Bush and Obama’s version in MY mind is that under Bush, none of the perpetrators were punished, and under Obama they were.

Should this attempt make it into your padded room…Replace Fox with MSNBC and W with O and you’ve got the same problem. Such misplaced anger.

The link to “Fast and Furious”, guns, and cops. 2001-2010: 541 U.S. police officers murdered. 362 with handguns, 99 with rifles, 36 with shotguns, 2 bombs, 2 by knife, and wait for it, 36 MURDERED (not “accidents”) with vehicles! DOJ FBI statistics.
Folks might want to discuss this with Mr. La PIerre with regard to those POLICE killed by guns, as opposed to all the knives out there. Also all those Blunt instrument homicides folks keep brining up? A grand total of 2 police in 10 years killed by blunt instruments.
If this is the record on ARMED POLICE, and we have over 30,000 gun deaths every year, half in criminal activities, does the average, untrained guy on the street stand much of a chance??
And of course another point; while any death of an officer IS a tragedy, ONE fatality linked to “fast and furious” doesn’t hold a candle to other “access” to guns.

Where is the Justice?
When your and my Federal Government lets known criminals have assault weapons to KILL US (that is United States but it could equally mean us) and MEXICAN citizens, Where is the Justice?
I see your and my Justice Department fail to investigate clear video evidence of criminal acts and then run in to investigate clearly local matters, I wonder, Where is the Justice?
If the head of the JUSTICE department does not investigate INjustice, then who will?
