   As a member of the Catholic Church, I am a bit sympathetic to ACORN as an organization. We had a few (4% of all ordained clergy) perverts who did abominable things and were covered up by a couple of bishops who should have had these men arrested and jailed for molestation.

   The enemies of the Church lost no time at all in gleefully painting all of our priests and bishops as one gigantic group of molesters and the Catholic Church as the worst thing that ever happened to mankind.

   There’s an old saying here that somewhat applies: Never explain yourself. Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe you anyway.

   I would like to see more information on ACORN before making a final judgment here.
