Mark Buford's Scary Gary presents an all-too-common problem: vampires in the suburbs. But this vampire isn't out for blood; Gary has turned over a new leaf. Hanging up his cape for good, Gary takes up residence in a quiet community, dragging his less-than-thrilled assistant, Leopold, with him. While Gary embraces the serenity of suburban life, Leopold is always cooking up one plan or another to terrorize the neighborhood. Scary Gary is syndicated by Creators Syndicate.

A comment on yesterdays: I forget which bio class it was, but the topic of feral burros in the mojave came up. The professor asked for solutions. One wag said “a new flavor of gordita?”

I have a special load in my 12 gauge for Santa. Guaranteed to penetrate the the coat and fat and get to the vital organs. Santa meatloaf.

Notice how the mug-skull gets eye contact with the Lurker in the second panel :) It seems Leo (and other inhabitants of Gary’s mansion) are oblivious of the Lurker’s existence.
On another note, it is a bit strange for Leo to have such a surface-to-air weapon in the basement – i’d expect him to go upstairs and install it in the attic.

Cool! I wonderful if he’ll get him. :P

Is Leopold’s GAL* battle-tested? Will it be effective? Is Santa doomed?!
*GAL: Ground-to-Air Laser weapon.

Brush up on classic movie villains. The lair with the death ray is always stored underground.

Something tells me that although it looks like an inconspicuous old sleigh, Santa is packing some modern tech too. Sorry, Leo.

: ) So glad you mentioned the Lurker; I very nearly missed that – Leo’s mug is almost a character by itself!

I’m sure it’s under the lawn and the lawn opens up.

Let’s ask Phineas and Ferb how they would do it.
