Yeah, psychology is usually not too subtle. You don’t have to dig too far to find the source of an emotional disturbance and there is no symbolism to it either. My dad doesn’t like fireworks or guards with pistols. Why? Because he grew up during wartime with bombings and border guards.

This is one of the strangest comic strips I’ve ever seen. I get a sort of early Far Side feel from it…it’s going to be interesting to see what else Mr. Savage comes up with
