At the risk of starting a political war, that wouldn’t work with today’s Republicans.

The democrats are the only ones claiming "Global Warming (Climate Change) is backed by science but it has been proven that these so called scientists made up data and ignored that data which disproved their thesis.
I will believe Climate Change is true when you explain how Saharan region changed from a lush tropical region to a desert based on a carbon footprint.
Welcome to the political war.

Took 1 second of searching on Google.
Now, back to basic science that was proven in the 1880s. Carbon dioxide absorbs heat. If you pump more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, more heat will be absorbed. Welcome to the basics of climate change.
Now go here to read up on some science

Here’s historic and modern CO2 levels.

And so on. So stop making your decisions based on what talk-radio tells you to believe and instead start looking at the science.

Took 1 second of searching on Google. Climates change, get over it, there is no crisis. The planet does not have a fever.
Things like the change from incandescent to compact florescent bulbs are worse for the economy AND the environment than no change.

As for Randy’s point, yes, if you act like what you’re saying is established fact, you can sway people. Look at the Iraq War. Bush and Company acted like Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction, poison gas, biological weapons and nukes. They shouted down anyone who raised any doubt on this issue, including the international weapons inspectors who were certain the WMDs were not there. Iraq did not, of course have WMDs, but it took the most expensive war in history to prove this. Defend that one, Republicans.

Hey look, the new american lied. http://metofficenews.wordpress.com/2012/10/14/met-office-in-the-media-14-october-2012/
Your forbes editorial is junk that’s basically worthless opinion with no science to back it up.
Same with the Chicago Tribune opinion piece.
Now, how about you actually address the science, instead of just saying “I don’t think so, so it must not be true.”
Now, let’s look at these two simple charts. http://climate.nasa.gov/key_indicators
Let’s just talk about CO2 levels, historically and today. It’s proven that CO2 absorbs heat. Heck, that was proven back in the 1880s. So with that in mind, let’s look the Science, not post newspaper opinion pieces that absolutely no scientific fact to back them up.

speak with confidence… it works. More on yourself than the person you are speaking to.
