A self-taught artist, Bell graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in political science. His award-winning editorial cartoons have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Oakland Tribune and on "60 Minutes." He started out as the illustrator of Rudy Park along with writer Theron Heir, and now he does both the art and writing. He also creates the daily comic strip Candorville.

Liking things is NOT corny. And I should know. I’m a professional film critic and so is my godmother. And since she’s on the Film Review board of India, we both count for something.
But I don’t have a lot of hopes for the new Star Wars movie.

At least it has one thing going for it. JJ Abrams isn’t involved in it like he is in the Star Trek movie..

I thought you were going to say the one thing it has going for it is George Lucas isn’t involved (much). The last Abrams Trek movie was amazing and resuscitated a dead franchise. The next one will probably be even better.

Star Trek had too many errors. Actors the wrong ages compared to other cast members as they were in the show.
Kirk being a cadet, and being given a command, Starfleet must have really been short of qualified officers.
Karl Urban nailed it with his performance though.
