leave it there, Rose. When Peekaboo gets hungry, then he (never did know the gender of the kitten) will be the desperate one.

Cats are picky. Some dogs are, but not like cats. Just put the food down and if he doesn’t eat it, he gets it again the next night. If he still doesn’t eat it, don’t feed him for a day. Two at the most. Then he’ll be ready to eat.

those of you giving your cats old food or denying food should be publically flogged for animal abuse. and while you are awaiting public execution you can eat dried up stale rotting cat food, you vile scum!!!!!

Around here the problem does not occur. The cats know that it they don’t eat what’s given then, and quickly, the dogs will eat it.

Oh please, cats eat to live not live to eat. Put the canned food in the fridge, it keeps. Drag it out from time to time till the cat eats. This is why I use dry food and canned only as a treat.

She’ll eat when she’s hungry, let her meet some shelter cats and then she’ll realize how good she has it.

Thanks Lyndell…my feelings exactly. If the cat doesn’t eat it the first day, throw it away and try another brand. They have their preferences just like people. How would those here saying don’t feed them or leave it down until they eat it feel if someone forced you to eat oysters and you HATED them? I know what my cats hate and never buy it. We have some real cat haters here. Read another strip if you don’t like Peekaboo. And she’s a SHE.

I guess she ought to buy the wet cat food my husband buys. Our four cats can’t wait for it every day, they’re after him to give it to them first thing in the morning.

Years ago our veteranarian gave us two packages of food for our little dog and cat. He said that dogs and cats just love thi food and it is so healthy and good fo them and the animals just love it. Our poor animals would cry when we put it in their dishes. They hated it. It smelled awful. So after two days we threw it away and went back to the stuff we were feeding them before. They were much happier.

Domestic cats kill wild birds, and are the worst man-controlled threat to birds. They can damn well eat what’s given to them, or do without.
