Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

I have had cats all my life, and there is no training them…they train you to make their life happy.

“I’d been told the training process with cats was difficult. It’s not. Mine had me trained in two days” Comedian Bill Dana.

We do not own cats. They own us. ’Nuff said.

I have had cats for several decades, and there is no training them… but you can negotiate mutually accommodating deals.

My kitty will leave treats sitting out on the desk. She KNOWS she’s not allowed up there. Good behavior is rewarded, bad behavior means she gets put up.

Ours knew she couldn’t get up on the mantlepiece because we had a cut glass vase up there. One morning as we were ready to leave for work, we couldn’t find her to put her out. Finally found her hunched down between a window and the screen and bars up on the mantle. Happened to spot a dark shadow (she was mostly black). Got a step-stool and got up on it and fished her out. Had to whack her with the rolled up newspaper. She never went up there again, as far as we knew.
