Start talking to your plants and eventually they will start talking back.

In the second and third panels, Rose’s face looks more like her mother’s than her own.

I always check the soil on my mom’s plants before I water them, and if it’s dry, then I water them.

Wonder what is up with gocomics. I actually had to go through another site just to get to see this strip after two days of a screen telling me the site was under construction.

I remember an article in a magazine, now defunct, called Omni.
A fella did an experiment with live brine shrimp and a certain big leaf-ed plant (easier to hook electrods up to). A timer was set up so that the brine shrimp would, at a random time within the next couple of hours, be dumped into boiling water and be killed. The plant was in the room but not close enough to be steamed or affected by the heat in any way.

The guy went out for a walk to make sure his reaction would not affect the plant when the shrimp died.

When the brine shrimp died, the plant reacted and the response was recorded on video and on a machine that could read the plant’s response.
