    My cat went up in a tree once. After I got the ladder, and climbed up to get him, just as I reached out for him, he jumped, and I was sure I heard him giggling all the way down!
    The next time, I just told him; “You got up, YOU get down!”
    Rattled the bag of cat food, and POOF, there he was.

    They can always get down if they really want to. I had a black kitten that climbed up a tree and then started crying because he was scared to come down. I managed to get high enough to pull him off the tree and released him. A couple of hours later I went looking for him and discovered he was up the tree again, crying. The trouble it was now night and pitch black and I wouldn’t have even been able to see where he was so I just went to bed. The next morning I found him back on the ground with no help from me.
