Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

I just wish it would snow here.

I’m glad that the Lowcountry of South Carolina only get snow about every 3 years, usually after a hurricane in the autumn. It was 31 degrees when I got up this morning! Brrrrr!

@Teresa
I Brrrrr! with you in sympathy, but one good cure for that is to spend some time in Wisconsin around this time of year. One year up there, it had been below zero several days at a time. Finally we cheered when it reached twenty! (Yes, I’m sure there are places much colder than WI!)

This is the equivalent of a ruler being carried on a litter by her servants. Although Peekaboo is small enough that no litter is required.

A long nap in a warm home…… sounds good enough for any cat! :)

Gokie5: We had highs below zero several days in a row a few years ago in Texas. You do mean Celsius, don’t you?

@Gokie5
In MT, last year we had 2 weeks solid where it didn’t get above 0 & usually hovered around -10 in the heat of the day (wind chill took it to -40 or -50), nights were in the -30 range. This year we’ve had a couple week-long spells where that’s happened. When it gets above 30 we start singing “we’re having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave” LOL

@phritzg,
Doesn’t Peekaboo have a litter box? She probably wouldn’t like being carried in it, though.

I did mean F. That’s cold enough!
