Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

I am starting to give up on this comic. After reading it for 3 years it is exactly the same. Blah.

Yeah, well, it’s true. But, the art work is quite good. Not good enough to make up for the lack of verbal content however.

Not my fav either, but love Rose’s spirit. Love to hate the squirrels too. lol

Maybe it’s an inner ear problem.

Vicki wouldn’t let a little whirlwind throw her around.

BTW, to all you naysayers that the strip is too bland: After a hard day at work, and then coming home to watch news where people are routinely killed and children abused, to see innocent animals treated horribly and die; I love to check on the Rose and her family. I know it isn’t Doonesbury but I prefer a little gentle humor after a long day.

Where’s Vicky? Vicky never has any problems with introspection.

I see nothing wrong and everything good with the comic. Try reading some graphic novels for something completely different.

That’s cuz Vicki is the real inner.

It sure isn’t Doonesbury, I actively avoid reading that. I enjoy the whimsy, here, but can’t stand the cat :p

I like this comic. It’s fun to read. Light-hearted. One of my favorite two-day gags is the “retractable brain” with the cat. Having had a kitty that would give the blankest looks at times (when she didn’t want to do something) “retractable brain” fit well. (Yes, the kitty of my avatar. Her name was TS, for Top Spot).

Gee, then if you think this comic is a colossal bore, then so-long!
