Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

So do it, Jimbo! I mean, you’re bigger than the kitten, and stronger and meaner (well, maybe not meaner). Whenever my cat is where I want to be, I simply pick her up and put her elsewhere. She glares, but I don’t care; it’s my furniture.

Jimbo should read Peekaboo the riot act!

having typed around and read around the occasional sleeping cat, I sort of understand the reluctance to disturb the cute … then again, cat on keyboard gets moved, glare or not.

Is there anyone who can withstand the power of a cats glare?

Jimbo – Stand up, step back and slowly pull the paper towards you.

What’s fun is when the cat keeps trying to hop onto the keyboard.

Kitty no to be on the table…

They let the cat on the table!?! yikes I have 2 and one of them tried a couple of times to make the table her perch…NONONO! I put a few obstacles in the way of her getting there, as well as my shout of panic when I saw her there…she now knows that is not her place. Table top (dinner) and kitchen counters are no place for the cat.

I agree. No cats on the table or counter.

My cats are welcome everywhere except table, kitchen counter and keyboard. Train them using a water pistol…gentle and effective.

Yes, you can train a cat not to get up on certain pieces of furniture—at least when you’re actually present to see it!

You have to be careful removing a cat from a keyboard. Sometimes their claws will pull the keys loose.

I have a foolproof (or catproof, as the case may be) system for keeping my cats off the table and kitchen counters: I keep them so cluttered, there’s no room for a cat.
Night-Gaunt49 said, 7 months ago
No cats were allowed on tables ever. Verboten.

Ours do that when we’re on the couch reading something. Very difficult to read the paper with a kitty-poo in your face.
