Rose is Rose presents the extraordinary nature of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the Gumbo family. The strip stars child-at-heart Rose and her ASD (Attentiveness Surplus Disorder) husband Jimbo. Their gentle son Pasquale is watched over by his Guardian Angel who morphs from tiny cherub into gargantuan protector. Family kitten Peekaboo boasts that her humans are the cutest in town. Readers relish the romance in Rose and Jimbo's marriage, yet cheer the emergence of Rose's rebel alter ego, the fearless, wild and ready-to-roll Vicki the Biker

Looks as though Rose has hit upon a solution to the finicky cat thing.

@Limpid Lizard
There IS no Solution for a Finicky Cat. gotta say: Your AV put a Smile on my Face, Thanks. Haven’t thought about Tumbleweeds in quite awhile, used to Love it as a Kid…

Of course there is a solution for a Finicky Cat. You put something in their bowl, and you don’t put anything else in the bowl until it is empty.

Yeah, I was a fan of Tumbleweeds, too, back in the day. What ever happened to the strip and Mr. Ryan? I used to buy the Fawcet paperbacks and read the strip eagerly in the newspapers. Great Gobs of Geronimo Gravy, Green Gills!

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumbleweeds_%28comic_strip%29
After a 42-year run, Ryan retired and brought Tumbleweeds to a conclusion on December 30, 2007.

I loved that one too…also Rick O’Shay…a western sheriff…we had such great comics as kids!…Front Page of our Comics was Lil Abner and Blondie..inside was the two already mentioned as well as Dick Tracy, Peanuts, Prince Valiant, Rex Morgan, Mary Worth, Little Lulu, Pogo, Andy Capp, B.C, and on the back page was always Nancy and a kids section with puzzles and mazes.

A rather abrupt conclusion, IIRC.

One of my cats DID do that, when I was loving up a different one!
Oh, Jealousy! Thy name is cat!
