I’ve always wanted to see an interaction between Peekaboo and Mimi like maybe Mimi invites her to a tea party.Hint to the writers

I’m surrounded by oak trees, and lots of squirrels. I have never seen the squirrels go after the Halloween pumpkins. An abundance of acorns may be the reason for that. Has anybody here had the little buggers go after a pumpkin?

I didn’t see that until I moved north. (Squirrels get really dark and big up here.) To keep them away a little hot sauce placed on carved openings.

Mimi feed Peekaboo and have her around to chase away the squirrels or another kitten. Either way would be very cute to see that interaction.

When I was a kid, the big problem was with punk kids who would grab the pumpkin off your front stoop and smash it just for “fun.”

In Florida, the squirrels never went after the pumpkins, but smaller organisms did. Once I left a pumpkin on the ping-pong table too long, and it juiced up where it was sitting and left a permanent pucker on the table’s surface. I also dropped a superannuated pumpkin, and it splatted into a pancake.

I had squirrels eat my (carved) pumpkins for a couple of years. They have no interest in the pumpkins until they are carved. Seems to depend on the squirrel. I may try the hot sauce idea just in case.
