   Peekaboo is an outdoor cat, with all the tree climbing, wood scratching and normal wear and tear there shouldn’t be any need to trim her claws. Problem is that Peekaboo is the most stupid cat I have ever seen. How many times has she snagged her claws on fabric? And yet, at least one a month she behaves like she has never seen a sheet or curtain before and dives right in. I for my part am getting rather tired of this endlessly continuing joke :-/
   My two fondest wishes concerning this comic are that Clem gets his comeuppance and Peekaboo learns that her claws are retractable.

   But Peekaboo is just a KITTEN! It takes time to learn these things.

   It’s kinda like the way the kids are growing at about 1/100th normal speed.
   (Considering when the strip started Pasquale ought to be done with College, by now.)

    Cats come in all intelligences. Peekaboo is either a slow learner or knows that eventually she will be rescued. Any cat allowed outdoors should not need claw clipping. I have cats who still occasionally get stuck to my comforter and need rescuing, altho’ the worst one was a kitten who got stuck while fussing with a sibling, turned three times in the same direction defending itself and then was really upset when I tried to free it. Ouch. Peekaboo is Everykitten.

    Clem is so deficient in empathy he could get his comeuppance every day and never realize it. He definitely reminds me of – well, a number of people.
