That’s right boys & girls. We can run this great country without taxes. I say we just leave it to private industry and the free market. We don’t need no stinking Gov’ment.

Did I get it right Tea Partiers?!?

So, Mike, I take it you’d prefer the government runs everything instead? I mean, that’s worked so well in places like the now defunct USSR, or North Korea and Cuba…

Nice ad hominem, too bad you won’t see the error of your lie. The Take Everything Available (and give NOTHING back) party complains about any government activity, they complain about paying ANY taxes and you seem to think that makes Mike’s comment about them wanting absolutely no government and absolutely no taxes inaccurate? And the republicans are always after profit for their buddies and campaign buyers with contracts for privatizing activities that should be run by government. So addressing just Mike Rossi’ comment, what is inaccurate?

As to your redirect attempt, Democrats are not after government to handle everything. And it does not. Government does not control industry and the means of production. Don’t try oto whine about regulations, you know that is not the same thing as total control like in your accused sochuliztic, Marxist, commie-nistic regimes. When you guys spew that type of rhetoric you only serve to diminish your standing in learned society. But we don’t need no stinkin’ schools either do we? If you’re wealthy enough to afford an education then you’re good, if not, well there are lots of servant positions to fill. All you need to know is how to count the number of dinner guests and set the same number of places at the table. Nows wheres does them fourks go? On the riot o’ the lef?

That’s absolutely right Mike. It’s either too many taxes or no taxes. There’s nothing in between that equates to reasonable taxation that’s both fair and fairly applied. Insisting that government programs that have fulfilled their mandates are scrutinized is unreasonable. Insisting that our elected officials follow the oaths they’ve taken, which include upholding the constitution, is truly radical thinking.

You got Tea Party Glasses on. They only let you see what you want to see. You should take them off there is a big cliff up ahead – the 2014 election. Most of the Tea Party will be at the bottom of the cliff come December 2014.

It wasn’t an ad hominem, it was a semi-rhetorical question. I doubt you, or he, can find anything that shows the TEA Party is demanding ZERO government and essentially anarchy. By the same measure I doubt that there are many on the Progressive Left unless you go to extremes that want a total government takeover of the economy and nation.
On the other hand, rather than those extreme positions most people, me included, are arguing over what is the appropriate role and amount of government.
You mention schools for example. I would say that this subject (education) has nothing to do with the FEDERAL government and is 100% a STATE issue. I also think that a public – private mix of schools is far preferable to an all-public system or all-private one.
    .
I would also say that there are far more Democrats that would happily socialize the entire economy than there are Republicans or TEA Partiers who want a totally free market with zero government regulation. As an example Maxine Waters D- CA stated in a hearing over energy prices a few years back that she favored Socializing the whole energy market as an example of this.

FYI, the voices in MY head don’t yell. And since I don’t dictate my comments the words I type are verbalized in my head. As for the image or information (NOT misinformation) is derived from, yes the news media, but they don’t have to paraphrase or interpret the tea-nuts, they do a pretty good job of advocating anarchy, no government, no taxes etc. all on their own. Doesn’t matter what it is that government does, there is a tea-bagger complaining about it or making vague rants that would include any part of government you wish to enumerate.
    .
As for using the exact same argument I seem to disparage, I see you get the point. I’m impressed. But the real question is do you get the real point? I think I know.

So you can only think in black and white, no shades of grey or hues and tints? Pretty narrow mind there, Enoki.

Just keep piling up those dopey “all inclusive” statements that prove you have no sense of what is real, just inane banners from right wingers.
