    Is that code for Harry Reid being Obama’s political lap dog will not bring anything up for a vote? The elephant did and does pass things in the house. The bottle neck is the Donkey owned Senate.

    @Genome Project repeal the ACA 44 times is not an “accomplishment” ignored by Harry Reid. They knew they were going no where when they ceremoniously passed them."

    So you are saying that if Reid and Obama had done their job and debated the bills they might have sidestepped the massive roll out that signed up 6 people on day 1? That if they had looked at or talked about just one of the 44 bills the FAILURE of the ACA, Obamacare, could have been delayed and fixed or avoided? That it is the Elephant that was working against such FAILURE!

    @Harleyquinn

    Lots of outrage today.

    Repealing ACA is going from a system that will fail to a system that has already failed. The fact that Republicans refuse to recognize this truth shows a lack of respect for their constituents, and shows them for the posturing fakes they are. Feigning outrage and shooting spitballs are poor excuses for governing.

    unanimous consent agreement – A unanimous consent request setting terms for the consideration of a specified bill or other measure. These agreements are usually proposed by the majority leader or floor manager of the measure, and reflect negotiations among senators interested in the measure. Many are “time agreements,” which limit the time available for debate and specify who will control that time. Many also permit only a list of specified amendments, or require amendments to be to the measure. Many also contain other provisions, such as empowering the majority leader to call up the measure at will or specifying when consideration will begin or end"
    ..
    “unanimous consent to go to conference,”
    So what is your point? What was blocked? Was the bills that were passed in the house blocked? NO, those were never brought up.

    Good post sir."
    How? Means nothing with out context. NOTHING! so of course to a liberal that means good? WHAT was brought up for a vote? Tell me that and you might have a good post. I can point to many many votes that happened and passed in the house. But the Senate is bogged down in procedures so as to get nothing done that the house passed. If that was not so then why would the republicans block a “unanimous consent to go to conference” when it would be what the Republicans in the house passed? Answer it was not what the house passed. they were blocking the games the Democrats were playing in order to placate Obama. They were playing games and not doing the will of the States. They were not looking out for the best interest of the States.

    r’s repeat is its Reid’s fault bills don’t get voted on when in fact it is the repubby’s that refuse to allow them to go to conference to be accepted or revised,"

    it is Reid’s fault. The republicans were blocking Reid from ignoring the bills! Unless you are willing to tell me that the Republicans who stood up against Obamacare, were the ones that wanted to stop debate about Obamacare? Let me remind you they are the ones that voted NO! They did not want it! They are the ones that wanted to DEBATE IT! But you are saying they are the ones that stopped it from being voted upon? And Even if that is True the HOUSE GOP did their job! They sent all those bills up for a vote in the Senate! And what was in those Bills? Well one of them would have stopped the individual Mandates that has CRASHED the FAILURE that is the Obamacare roll out! But why did OBAMACARE even get this far? NOT by the Republicans, it was ALL Democrats! So tell me again what were they voting on? Why could not Ried get anything done? He has the bills that the House Republicans passed. You are saying he is so inept that he could not get Republicans to vote on a Republican Bill that was passed in the Republican house? Or maybe it was Reid that was trying NOT to do his JOB!

    “Below are the dates and participants in requests for unanimous consent to go “to budget” conference." "

    Obama has never had a Budget!!!!!!! Obama only asks for extensions and hikes! Maybe that was what the republicans were blocking?

    Harleyquinn: Feeling a little paranoid today? Your side has nothing to offer except to block anything that President Obama tries to accomplish to help us dig out of this continuing bush recession. You constantly miss the subtleties of any issue. Your defensive overreaction to everything that challenges your dogma is overwhelming evidence that you know you are wrong. Why do you continue to pathetically cling to this so-called conservatism?
    The key point to Truist"s post, “Number of times the same obstructionists tried to revise or repeal the Bush policies that got us here – ZERO!” seems to slip by you completely.
