It’s NRA mandated for toddlers.

This is incomplete. We desperately need toddler-sized assault rifles. The teachers are facing the whiteboard, and might not notice the psychopathic killers in time. We need to arm all the tots so they can defend themselves. Starting at age 2. No, that might be too late. Perhaps we could inject a foetus-sized assault rifle into the womb and start training early enough that they’ll be ready for the modern world by the time they’re born!

Nah. If you arm the blastocysts, they’d be able to defend themselves from abortionists. I’ve always heard that liberals think it’s wrong to protect them.
Now, it turns out they feel it’s wrong to protect them even after they’re born with anything more than wishful thinking.

I suppose we COULD pull about 125,000 troops from the mid-east, where they have NO BUSINESS being in the first place, and use THEM as school guards…Let’s see…Military troops, ARMED Military troops on street corners, in the schools and the shopping centers…wow, it’s a Fascist’s dream come true!
Of course, then they would have to stop everyone who is carrying, and ask to see their gun license, and anyone who is NOT carrying, they would have to stop and search, to see if they have a concealed weapon, then ask to see their concealed carry permit… and down the slippery slope we go!
And, YES, I’m being facetious!
(Or AM I??? Think about it…)

Nothing done to stop psychos. Blame the inanimate guns. Pass new laws to limit guns. It’s going to happen again.

I could say something about the pot, and the kettle, and the color, but I believe I shall just let people draw their own conclusions!
Have a happy New Year either way.

There were about 9,000 firearms homicides (the other 3,500 were self defense) in the US in 2009. About 3%, or 270 were comitted with “assault” rifles. Pretty low numbers, considering there are 300 million to 400 million firearms in the US.

& replacing Mister Rogers (& it’s awful animated so-called spin off) – the new PBS show, Police Kid. Thanks, Rogers!! & Happy New Year from Lady A.

Okay, then, there’s nothing to worry about. Even another 10,000 deaths or so would still account for a small fraction of the weapons. Let the rumble begin!!

It’s RIGHT to protect the WOMAN, who is (usually) somewhat more developed than a blastocyst. She should be able to terminate a pregnancy if it threatens her..as you self-righteous “pro-lifers” (there’s a misnomer!) do.

How man assault rifles? Seems to be the weapon of choice in mass killings. Might be interesting to know the PER CAPITA assault rifle deaths vs. “mere” pistols.

Lady A, I’m sure if he were alive he would appreciate your sentiments. He passed in 2003.

Yup, give everyone ALL the guns they want and let the good guys shoot it out with the bad guys. Since there are so many more good guys they will win, right? That 10,000 a year die is just collateral damage.

Just what the right wants: a dystopian police state with armed guards in every public space that they don’t want to pay for.

@Joe
Does calling it a “blastocyst” make you feel better when you kill it?
