He may not have put all the holes in it, but he is the one currently holding the cup and watching the influence drain away.

Having relatives and friends around that world, it was Cheney and “W” who blew the holes in our credibility, with “shock and awe”, NO WMDs, failure in Afghanistan, and a failed economic model that crashed in 2008, showing that America had become the model for the “long con”, not genuine “conservatism”. When folks saw us trying to screw not only our “friends” overseas, but our own citizens for corporate profits, they made the connection, even if the idiots at home didn’t.

If you were in Obama’s place, what would you do to plug those proverbial holes?

What some citizen might do is speculation and wishful thinking. The citizen doesn’t have access to enough information to make decisions. The problem is the President want’s US influence to decline, it fits his world view bubble. The President is ignoring the truth that riding a tiger isn’t half as dangerous as getting off.

Well, Bush and Cheney left him holding the bag, and that bottle was probably half-full when he got it!

Well, if they did, he’s certainly proven that he’s not up to fixing the problem.

Robert, you’re drinking too much far right Kool Aid. Try for a course correction to center. If we could ever unify again under our own flag instead of so many seeking factional power and control, that cup would have virtually no leaks at all.We could solve it all together.

The United States’ influence and approval around the world has gone up under Obama. The cartoonist is “in the bubble” and really should stick to facts, not Dick Cheney talking points.

How do you fix a problem when a Republican Congress fixes it to make sure you fail? They refuse to allow him to use even Executive Directives and are trying to sue the President when he does.

We’re talking about US Influence in the World. That’s the President’s job to set foreign policy and project the US image on the world stage. What does Congress have to do with that?

Yes, government of we the people.
plenty of people are willing to scam the government as well as people who are willing to scam a business, with the rational, it is not coming out of a persons wallet.
