Behavior determined by a child’s circumstance of upbringing is not a racial characteristic.

    “It is in their DNA
If that is the case it is in your DNA as well, DNA is species specific and human is human.
The sequence for the big nose you hate is merely a timing sequence for how long the proteins grow when the nose is being formed, it is the same as your DNA except for timing. Content is human.
Bigotry has no science backing it up.

An entire post without the word “socialist”. Are you feeling okay?

I think you are correct in much of what you wrote, especially the middle paragraph.
Yet I also agree with OVERTAXED. I do not know alot about mid-eastern history, but OTXD’s comment that if the Jews were not there, they would still be killing eachother.

It seems that the Spanish Inquisition, and the Catholic Church’s actions against Jews and other non-believers slowly gave way to rethinking their actions and easing off. But that “slowly” did take a long time, too long for Jews & others. I wonder how long it will take for Islam to begin to reflect, and decide to live with the rest of us "non-believers.

I think the Jews should have been given New York City.

Folks should read, or re-read the book of Joshua, where this homicidal sociopath (like Saul and other early members of the tribes) slaughtered without mercy every living thing that stood in their way. LESCHI and ETSEL were early 20th century Zionist terrorists who developed the techniques, like bicycle bombs, and stringing up the booby trapped bodies of British soldiers, to kill anyone who tried to cut them down.

The stories from the bible, whether Jew, Arab (tribes, NOT RELIGION) or others, is the story of Man vs Man in a destructive path, blessed by “God”, for at least those who had the most effective weapons, or most killers on their side.

The REAL problem is excusing the violence, hate, thievery, and genocides waged by all these folks, then throw in latter day “Christians” with the Crusades, or Inquisition, based on the perspective of “my guys can’t be wrong”. The same applies to overt nationalism, whether Germany in the 1920’s through WW II, Japan, Israel, or even the hegemony of the United States today sought by nationalists intent on controlling the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Asia for OUR benefit, and dominance.

We do have a great lifestyle and country, but aren’t living up to the hype we put out. WE can do better, and starting wars with small, relatively unarmed, nations, doesn’t really boost our image, or morality. It is WE who need to look at what we’re doing to the planet, and it’s occupants, of all species, before we judge others, whose past brutalities we seek to emulate.

Then you must despise Democrats since they voted against the civil rights act with their long and bigoted history and only recently (far more recently than the inquisition) managed to tweak their marketing.

Yeah, “those people” have been fighting and killing each other for centuries…unlike the European people? Or unlike the Asian people? Or in fact unlike any group you want to name? Exactly what history are you all reading? It sounds positively Bowdlerized…people everywhere have been fighting and killing each other, and NO nation or peoples are free of responsibility for this kind of human activity.

The question is, does Israel have the right to refuse to engage in peace talks with the Palestinians because the latter have recognized Hamas? I think if any nation presumed to dictate to Israel who they could or could not ally themselves with would result in a firestorm of controversy in which Israel would claim as oppression.

    Your thoughts?

Russ: the significance of mythology, is all the hate it can generate, for wolves, witches, or those of our species we dehumanize, to kill them. The history of the Jews is just as violent in their facts or mythologies, as any other culture, with only a few exceptions. Even Buddhism has had it’s moments, but nothing like the “bible religions”. I do however have respect for the Society of Friends, and the few others, who’ve proven a history of living to the “right way”.

A good thing to follow on that is the Dieudonné case in France. Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala is a French comedian who did a sketch denouncing Israel’s treatment of the palestinians that did not please the B’nai Brith. It escalated over two years between the two, like a lame competition on who suffered the most (jews or black people?). Now Dieudonné is an all-out Holocaust denier and he got banned.

Correction, the Dieudonné misery-o-thon in France is not going on two years but ten.

My point was that the West was happy to give away someone else’s land, but I don’t think we would have been too happy if it had been our land that was taken away.
