That ship sailed a long time ago. The only difference now is there’s more money to be had.

So if money is free speech and you take away money like foodstamps from the poor, is that censorship?

This particular flood of money doesn’t lift all boats, and prefers the Republican flavor of quid pro quo flotation.

PLEASE, as SW10mm suggested, education about a topic helps. In support I offer this article:

This is quite the eye opener.

Get educated about the amounts of money spent for both sides before posting ignorant tripe
    .
“Ignorant tripe”? My assertion was that dark money flows to both parties, but Republicans receive the larger donors. Democrats pick up the unions and individual donors, while Republicans court the fat cats and dark money. You gonna tell me the billionaires like Democrats more than Republicans?

So, to be clear, I am against the “flood of money” being pumped into politics.

IMO, politicians should have 5 each ads given to the 2 media outlets of his choice, the ability to participate in public debate with 5 more TV interviews during the 3 month run up to election. Anything else must come from his own pocket with a limit of 100K.

people that want to see that person in office need to volunteer at NO PAY to put them there.

The salary (given the complaint of the rep that said his 6 figure paycheck was too small) should reflect the average in his district.

And retirement should be SS and whatever they can put back like the rest of us.

But like they say, he who has the gold rules…..
