If the Libs really want something to crow about then they’d give the numbers of how many people have actually paid for their Obamacare premiums, and tell us how many of the previously 30 million uninsured people this was to help all along actually signed up.

Why would the “Libs” have that information to give to you and Rush and Fox Noise? It belongs to the individual insurance companies that cover the individual ACA subscribers. If you really WANT payment info – and I’m sure you don’t – phone around to the appropriate insurance companies and ASK for it.

With the incredible number of reports required by the PPACA, I have difficulty believing that there isn’t a report requiring insurance companies to report how many are covered under the PPACA.

@If my words offend you - you don't have the open mind you claim to have

“The gun toting IRS is mandating you purchase ACA or face fines or jail time.”

That is not quite true. Use search string “penalty” in the PPACA pdf for more information.

There’s no point arguing with someone who thinks the ACA is socialism.

    Let me help you out.

President Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress (111th) introduced it as the Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 by Rep. Rangel. Really. No mention of health care. AND nobody read it.

Passed the house that way. Went to the senate and was "amended and the name changed to “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”, passed, returned to the house where it was passed with no republican votes and Obama signed it. The goal? Why, we had 30 million people that were being denied basic health care by the evil insurance industry. We MUST provide for them.

So if you had a program that’s stated goal was to provide insurance for 30 million people that currently did not have it, wouldn’t the most important metric to prove success be the number of people without insurance that gained insurance through the program?

THAT is why we want the people compiling stats to produce it. Surly they would measure it since it is the primary goal of the project.

If you had a swamp containing 30 million gallons of liquid you wanted to drain, would you keep a record of how many gallons pumped out to gauge your progress? Of course you would.

So what would you call it?

    so·cial·ism
    [soh-shuh-liz-uhm] Show IPA
    noun
    1.
a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
    2.
procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.

Now I know that the “free market” is where the policies are being sold. However, who is it that “controls” the market? Who has set the “standard” that must be met under threat of penalty? Who is it that decides if you must comply or can have a “waiver”?

No, the ACA is not “socialism”. However, it is not a “free market” either since you have no choice to buy or not to buy ( a fine or tax for not buying is a requirement to participate in the “community” regardless of your wants or needs and thus smacks of a socialist agenda)

And don’t jump in with the Jesus was a socialist meme since nothing he ever said indicated it. Paul, in talking to the nations suggested that groups of persecuted Christians may find it to their advantage to pool their resources on a voluntary basis. The voluntary part is the key.

    Love ya BRO!

In the words of Harry Reid: “lies, all lies.” That was the basis of this law from beginning to end. Now we wait for the next shoe to drop.

The insurance companies are evil because they want to show a profit for their stockholders. Profit is evil, unless it accrues to a liberal. And because the insurance companies are evil, we must drive them out of the health insurance market. The government MUST take over completely and own the entire health care system.

That will be the wonderful single payer system, just like Cuba.

Thank you for that clarification about Jesus’ stand. And it was Paul who said, “..he who will not work will not eat.” NOTE: he said WILL not; those who COULD not were cared for. A nice balance. Thanks again.

    .
Cuba, the country where every Cuban has access to affordable health care; which has the highest life expectancy and highest rated healthcare system in the Caribbean, and which is similar to the U.S. on both counts despite being relatively poor and the U.S. rich; where many medical tourists go for treatment, including Americans who do it via third countries.

Fine…. Just tell me how many have paid. How many of the 30 million UNinsured it was SUPPOSED to help insure DID sign up! A simple question to answer one would think.

seems you need to do a tad more reading. But whatever. Saul of Tarsus was indeed a a persecutor of Christians. However, while Saul was on the road to Damascus, Jesus “revealed” himself to Saul in a flashing light and commissioned him to be an attendant and a witness of the things he had seen and would yet see. Hr was blinded and when the scales were lifted later he became Paul. Acts 8, 9 ought to bring you up to speed.

So really, I did not quote Paul to explain Jesus. I stated as a fact (which now you may feel the need to refute so give me some scripture my brother) that Jesus did not preach socialism. He is a King and supports the Theocracy that is God’s Kingdom. Which would be more of a benevolent dictatorship IMO.

Or is the fact that Jesus came preaching the “good news” of God’s Kingdom lost on you?

Yep, he did say those things. Do you think that the translation from Aramaic into Greek then Latin then the common english of King James’ era may have lost something along the way? Perhaps.

But Paul also talked about honor that husbands should be giving wives, about staying single if possible but because of a moral conflict it would be good to marry if temptation was to great. LOTS of things can be interpreted just like you want it to be.

But dude, be of good cheer, you have freewill and the right to form and keep whatever opinion you wish.

love is all you need. So show some my brother……
