A Sarah Pardon? with all his turkey buddies being beheaded on live TV in the background?
I thought her antics had killed the tradition.

Yes, Bruce, absolutely NO EXCUSE for getting out troops out of TWO wars he didn’t start, and keeping them out of three more potential (Tunisia, Libya, and Syria) wars we don’t need to “put boots on the ground” in .

And, there’s no excuse for producing a climate in the economy that has held the stock market at record high levels, or trying to get folks health care, even the 5% that are in the “individual insurance market”, at affordable rates. (Even if , like is often the case, “beta type” computer programs often have problems getting running.)

Who said anything about comsumption? I just want the roasting. It would be fitting for one of the worst Presidents in American history.
He’s right down there with Fillmore, Harding, Andrew Johnson, or Pierce. Not quite to the level of Buchanan though… He hasn’t allowed an open civil war to start….yet…

Trout, you may pardon him all you want.

This man schemed, obfuscated and brought pressure to bear in order to pass and sign into law a piece of legislation that he knew would NOT do the things he swore to.

Not just once but multiple times over several years, he lied to those who elected him. And not just about this one thing.

Your loyalty is admirable. Your faith in Obama complete. I hope you enjoy the “benefits” he has planned for you and our brother veterans who will wonder why the checks get smaller and the service at the VA goes from bad to worse.

But that’s OK, maybe you just WANT to take that pill………

So ok, switching from Obama’s “wrong statements” to comparing the “wrong statements” to those that Bush may have made is OK. But me, since you disagree with me, I’m bad. Yep. Can’t argue (trout) that Obama was telling the truth but you CAN fall back on blaming Bush. Good job.

And THEN I get an epistle in 2 parts. But I will respond in just a few words (unlike me, I know)

Jump to your last sentence and the admonition you have for me. Now apply that to yourself.

That’s right. You too should " just resist your party’s mindless propaganda."

    Think you can do that?

Obama is trying to focus on the important issues – the need to fix a medical delivery system that fails so many Americans, while his enemies just want him to fail. So they blather on about technical issues and delayed deadlines that in the long run are irrelevant.

IF Obama’s “fix” delivered the promised results – a reduction of costs by $2500, the ability to remain with the plan one has had for years at the same or lesser cost and people are happy with, actually providing those that want insurance and can not get it an affordable policy, and the ability to keep the health care provider you have built a relationship with over the years without exception – then maybe the technical issues and the inability to start up the system that they had YEARS to put together with a few delays could be overlooked.

BUt tell me, is it really acceptable to you that your president lies to you for years (the alternative is that he did not have a clue about what was going on with HIS signature legislation which may be worse) about the one thing that most people care about their health? Really?

Not to dwell on the other facts:

No one really read or understood the consequences of this law.

Once it was studied, those that could see what would happen and told you about it were subject to character assassination to facilitate the cover up of a bad law.

Once exposed the president changes the law to suit his purpose against all constitutional provisions and without legal authority to do so, giving his supporters the breaks.

And finally, even while admitting his law is a bust, illegally changes the laws requirements AGAIN to exercise a little CYA action.

You are just fine with all that?

    Oh that’s right, it’s all Bush’s fault…..

as long as he’s out of the office, I really don’t care how it happens. I’d like it to happen while I’m still at “middle class” and before “living under a bridge”…

The evidence that he deliberately lied is absent. That is, that he deliberately twisted the facts to deceive the public. I don’t think misleading the public was intentional, but possibly some were mislead unintentionally. Yesterday I thought he did a good job of making ammends as best he could within the constraints of the system.
The other fact remains, by resisting reforms and by advocating for the status quo, you are defending a system that allows 44,000 to die and 100,000 to declare medical bankrupcy EVERY YEAR. (Harvard Medical School) If you have an ounce of humanity, that is unacceptable.

Mechanic: DOW today is 15,964, approaching 16,000 for the first time in history, just like going over 15,000 was, under Obama, so, exactly HOW has this administration been “bad for business”.

The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding is saying Obama is a much better supporter of business, Capitalism, and the “free market” (by signing some egregious giveaways in that ACA to insurance companies), than EITHER Bush President, OR even Ronald Reagan!

Getting out of wars, and staying out of putting “boots on the ground” saves lives, as the ACA will, if given the opportunity for sound reforms that ARE indeed needed, but not trashing the whole thing the way the “right wingers” did to Afghanistan AND Iraq!

    You’re Canadian, right? Hope so…

You boldly state: “The evidence that he deliberately lied is absent.”

So you are saying he had no knowledge of what was IN the law that he signed into existence? Are you saying that once others pointed out the flaws that he never read about it or explored the possibility that the others may be right?

For years he made a simple statement, If you like your health care plan, YOU CAN KEEP IT PERIOD…. very emphatic, quite dramatic and in direct opposition to any who suggested that may not be true. (not the only lie but the most predominate one in the news)

So if he did not deliberately lie, then he was clueless concerning the impact of his signature legislation, didn’t bother to show due diligence and research the possibility that he may be wrong when it was pointed out he was, and ignored (as all liberals do) the majority wishes to not go down this road. All of which is worse, IMO.

And then you say: “he did a good job of making amends (sp) as best he could within the constraints of the system.”

Well, as long as you ignore the FACT that he has no authority to change modify or ignore the law. ONLY congress has that legal authority. But the Constitution is nothing but an old fashioned hard to read piece of paper to this guy. He goes around it all the time with his rule by fiat plan. So in addition to lying OR being misled he is breaking long established law.

Your other fact? Well now, I read your study. Harvard’s is the one with the most deaths. There are others that have a lower estimate. AND they are basing their findings on assumptions. IF “X” then “Y”. But yes, it is a horrible supposition. Do you think that IF people would never eat fast food then some of those deaths could be avoided? Do you think that IF people stayed out of the woods that some of those deaths could be avoided? It boils down to choice. A healthy lifestyle will negate the need for medical care. But people want what they want.

Perhaps you could read this little item and get back to me.
