Even better. Close them, bring home ALL personnel, and END ALL FOREIGN AID to ANY of these rat-hole countries.
    Period.

I wondered about this. Seems that, since embassies are the soil of the country, it would be better to remove non-essential personnel and fortify the place. Other than changing a date on a calendar, how is closing the embassy going to change anything?

Al Qaeda’s phony build up as a menace to Americo is just an excuse for the government to enslave us all.

I know. When the truth is expressed, it must be a right-wing conspiracy. Hey it is always better to run away so that we may be attacked another day.

You appear to have a serious problem with the term socialist. I suggest you look up the definition, and maybe read Dana Milbank’s comment “Is Obama a socialist….”

“Not enough at Benghazi, too much this time.”

At Benghazi there was nothing in the face of a clear threat and probable attack of some sort. Currently there is a vague threat that “something” is going to happen, probably at an Embassy. I’m glad to see them do something this time, but I’m not to sure they did the right thing (I offer no alternatives). We just demonstrated that they could bring us to a halt with only increased chatter. Al Qaeda knows that it can cause considerable disruption with minimal effort now. I doubt they will forget this and look forward to increased chatter causing further disruptions caused by nothing more than increased chatter. We just gave Al Qaeda another weapon for their arsenal. By our own actions, we may have decreased NSA’s effectiveness.

I have politely suggested to Mr./Ms. Flatener to look up the definition of “socialist” more than once. I hope you have better success.

If it means shutting down the embassies in the US embassies in the religious fanatic infested Middle East, then I am all for it. What is truly needed is for we the US to become energy sufficient (preferably by renewable energy systems) that we no longer have to deal with these people at all. Then we can bring all of our people home, shut any bases there, and save enough of our own money to even begin to at least balance the budget and get rid of the deficits!!!

In your opinion would it be a socialist measure for the president and congress to institute controls on wages and prices in peace time? If Obama were to say, for instance, that the economic condition of the country is so serious that it’s necessary to institute wage and price controls, would you oppose it as a socialist program? After all, shouldn’t the market set wages and prices rather than the President and Congress? Isn’t that what free enterprise is all about? What do you think?

You do mean Clinton? Right? It was his defunding all things military and all the alphabet agencies and the wanting of the surveillance toys instead of real person intel that led to the “they were at war with us” and we were just denying it. Bush may have had some warning on his desk that he sat at for only what 6 months, but Clinton left him a mess with no priorities in that regard.
