In California, folks keep rebuilding (with shake roofs again) i chaparral country where fire every couple years is normal. In “tornado alley” they keep rebuilding. When levees fail, or confining water flows as Corps of Engineers does, leads to increased damage in flood zones, where people keep building, why is “nature” responsible? When will hope give way to intelligence?

Shake roofs have been outlawed in the fire-prone areas of Colorado. You know, that “unfair government regulation” that conservatives go on about. It’s a shame that the FEMA grants for building safe rooms in communities in Oklahoma and Arkansas have fallen under the GOP sequester.

I would like to see a cite for the claim that sequester ( a reduction in the increase of budgets of less then 4% of the increase) had any thing to do with grants for safe rooms and why do I have to have my tax dollars taken to build them for other people who have jobs?
Oh and the cite can not be from DU, Daily Kos or PuffHO.
