Common goals…
Respectful Troll said, 5 months ago
If the last four years is an example, the republican will filibuster the hike and if the democrat gets the can, he will so overload it with amendments and pork as to make it impossible to get it past the line of scrimmage.
How many of you have written to any of your legislators yet?
We can only vote once per election, but we can write daily, and some of you folks are great voices for your causes.
Respectfully,
C.

Are these really unintended consequences? Today’s articles concerning the fiscal cliff deal and the democrats stand of taxation.

And as if it isn’t bad enough, no one seems to think about the law that no one read even after it was passed.

Yes, no one “forced” congress to go into debt. Well, no one did a dog gone thing to stop it either. And STILL the democrats say we do not have a spending problem just not taxed enough yet.

republicans think they can solve problems by changing the label, or just outright lying about things.

I get those sometimes too. A person told me that if you get flagged too many times that happens. Try loading GC with a different browser, worked for me.

@Bruce4671….“stupid is as stupid does”….Amen!
Obama wants more tax hikes to go along with MORE DEBT.
Obama accuses Congress for the spending they wrote into bills they passed, to BULLY them into an OK for a higher debt “ceiling” (oxymoron).
But, taxpayers, Obama signed those spending bills and Obama did not VETO them, so Obama is EQUALLY LIABLE.

Don’t yell ‘Hike’ ! Kick the Elifant down the field !

“Hike” is very clever (tax hike). Well done! There will be discussions about “closing loopholes” or “increasing revenue”. And why not? Capital gains at 15% does not make any sense to me when “normal” income is taxed at 30 to 40 percent. Fair and balanced, right?
