All through the campaign, Republicans bitterly criticized Obama for a lack of leadership. Now, when Republicans desperately need a spending cuts proposal of their own, WHO is their leader?
-
Is it ….Grover? No? Mitch? Hmmm. Paul Ryan of ‘budget’ fame? Oooh, uh-uh. Rush! Oh, Rush says to do the cliff.
-
Boehner? Right. He’s made lots of proposals. Willard? Oh, he’s got a proposal, but it’s still secret.
-
Maybe Eric Cantor with his laser-like focus on jobs. Oh, wait…. that resulted in anti-abortion bills and continued repeal of ACA.
-
Where IS the Republican leadership?

The slugs are the gop’s new leaders.

Boehner needs to step down as Speaker so that we can get a real leader in there. I think I’ll start a campaign to Primary him ASAP.

Obama leads from behind.

The scary thing is that John McCain seems to be acting as leader these days. Since no one else will fill the gap…

Yep! The loser Romney/Ryan crowd has a great view from behind…
As the Obama/Biden winner crowd leads FORWARD!

Americans are so strange. They demand a leader, but the moment someone steps up and leads, he’s branded a dictator and torn down.
I prefer the parliamentary system where the elected officials are servants of the people rather than their leaders.

When the people lead, the politicians follow.

I knew it was too early for Glenn Beck to return to his hollowed-out volcano… :-)

@DrCanuck
Then I guess it’s good you live in Canada. In general we like our system, that’s why we left yours a few hundred years ago…

Obviously the republicans have enormous changes to make to restore their credibility with their base, like move into the 21st century on social issues, economics and expanding their ethnic/gender base. But before anyone gets to heady about owning the world, remember the democrats were in the same position during the 70’s and 80’s. They had to “reinvent” themselves to be able to get Bill Clinton elected in 1992. Hopefully we (Libertarians) can get a much stronger foothold and expand our platform to compete more aggressively in 2016.

Whoa there, Mickey. Doc Canuck is Canadian, not English. We Americans left the English system behind, not the Canadian.
Yes, I know that Canadians base their system on the English as well, but it’s not quite the same as what comes out of Britain.
