It is neither “racist” nor “sexist” to question U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice’s role in the Benghazi scandal. It is, however, almost entirely beside the point.

Rice wasn’t making life-and-death decisions on Sept. 11, 2012, when the U.S. compound in the Libyan city of Benghazi came under attack; President Obama was. . .

She’s a victim in the futile attempt at Republicans remaining relevant at anything other than protecting the mega-rich.

It is important to know whether she knowingly gave out false information or not (the operant word being knowingly). It would reflect on her credibility as Sec State. Foggy Bottom is well known for obfuscating issues, but outright lying should not be classed as an attribute as a qualification to be Sec State.

Get over it, and stop with the distraction. On the aniversary of 9/11 all they could manage was to kill 4 Americans in some remote outpost? Thank you Mr. President for keeping our shores safe!

    @Ms. Ima

Well, you have to admit that he has started a LOT less wars, invaded a LOT fewer countries, and killed a LOT fewer civilians, and soldiers then the previous administration!

Howie, the White House had NOTHING to do with what Rice said. It was the CIA and the FBI. You should get your facts straight before you mouth off ignorant talking points (see the cartoon, and draw yourself between the knowing idiots there).

Naah they had nothing to do but a filter so the peace prize guy would not have blood on his hands a few weeks before an election. Anyone telling me it was a YouTube Video on 9 11 and spontaneous and believed it is a liar or idiot. It is that simple. Obama said he is the one who told her to say those things.

    Questions about Benghazi-
Why wasn’t the $300mill released by Chairman Issa’s Republican run committee to beef up security at diplomatic facilities world wide.
What has been done since the Benghazi incident to improve conditions elsewhere?
What can we do to keep facilities in locations like there, Cairo, and other nations from being overrun in the future?
The next set of questions are less important-
Why hasn’t Sec Clinton been asked to testify before the relevant committees?
Why are CIA statements confirming Ms. Rice was given permission to use specific responses while dealing with media outlets disregarded?
Why is it wrong for the CIA to protect operational info until it is deemed safe to do so?
Why were the names of Libyan nationals who help US interests in Libya revealed after the CIA reported to congress?
Why didn’t John McCain attend the meeting with Ms. Rice his committee arranged, and instead went on interview programs to complain that Ms. Rice was not smart and not good at her job?
Why do McCain, Ayotte, Collins, and other republicans keep calling Ms. Rice unacceptable, but then say Sen. John Kerry of Mass. would be an excellent choice for Sec of State?
Is it possible that McCain, Collins, and Ayotte want to make Ms Rice too damaged to be Sec of State for the specific purpose of seeing a Dem Senator step down and give their candidate of choice, one for whom they campaigned in the last election, Scott Brown of Mass, a chance to become an additional republican senator?
Why is it alright for the representatives of past administrations, all the way back to George Washington, to use misleading statements in order to advance policy, but it is not alright for Ms. Rice to try and mislead Al Qayadah by giving information to the American people they needed while letting our enemies think they had gotten away with something so they wouldn’t try and hide as hard?
I know most of my questions are leading, but until more info comes out my mind is at ease with what I know so far. But then you hear something like the story this morning about Ms. Rice’s family having stock in a foreign company doing business with Iran. Sounds ‘innocent’ so far, but…a new news cycle starts….now.
    Respectfully,
    & Happy Holidayze,
    C.
